I have had an interest in astrology since I was 19 years old. In the year 2000, I had the privilege of spending 6 months learning the basics of astrology one-on-one with Peter Whitewood who was the founding astrologer for the Australian Astrological Foundation.
Since that time, I have spent many hours looking over charts, reading articles and discovering more about this fascinating and insightful tool for self-awareness.
My interest in Astrology
My interest has been predominantly in Western astrology, and just this year I went to Rishikesh, India and completed a short course in Vedic astrology. I am one of many evolutionary astrologers. Evolutionary astrology is multifaceted. At its core, it’s a fusion that blends modern humanistic psychology with ancient metaphysics.
As an evolutionary astrologer, I assume as I look at a birth chart that you have this birth chart for a reason. You are in fact an ancient soul on a long evolutionary journey.
My personal journey with Astrology
I don’t want to spend too much time explaining the history and whether astrology is a science or not, I will leave that debate to those who feel inclined to get involved. My personal journey with astrology has been experiential, which means that I have had firsthand experience of how astrology works in my own life and the lives of the people around me.
Time and time again I have been shown the truth of how my own chart plays out in my everyday life, and that is why I see it as a powerful tool for understanding.
I am passionate about astrology and it is my intention and desire to make astrology accessible to everyone. Put simply, astrology explains your connection to the solar system, the universe you live in, for you are not separate from it but part of it.
Birth Charting – your blueprint for life
Using your date, time and place of birth to draw up what is commonly known as a birth chart. You can get an understanding of why you express yourself the way you do, how other people see you, where you are most likely to shine in your life, the type of relationships you will attract, what you value most, your attitude towards money, what type of career is going to be most suitable for you, and so much more.
Your birth chart is akin to your blueprint for this lifetime, it can be used as a roadmap to determine many aspects of your life. As the planets constantly move in the sky, they form aspects to each other, and you can follow the movement of the planets through the various areas of your own birth chart as a way of assisting you to comprehend the cycles of your life.
How to draw up your own birth chart
If you are interested you can draw up your own chart on www.astro.com and I would encourage you to look around at the different horoscopes on the site as a way of familiarizing yourself with your chart.
I look forward to sharing my passion with you and helping you to grow on your journey.
